Global tourism industry in 2022 and beyond

The pandemic decimated the global travel industry virtually overnight. Travel restrictions due to the virus outbreak resulted in a staggering 98% drop in international tourist arrivals in May 2020 compared to the same month the previous year. And things only slightly improved since then— the first quarter of 2021 saw a drop of 83%.

The World Tourism Organization disclosed on Tuesday that international travel went down by seventy per cent in the first eight months of 2020 because of the pandemic, but it has predicted that this number will bounce back. However, this won’t happen until the second last quarter of 2021 because of the many travel restrictions related to the pandemic. The real movement will only begin in the year 2022.

Towards the end of 2020, as the number of cases started reducing, people who were stuck at home for more than nine months started going out. “But now, what mattered more was the hygiene and the crowd at hotels rather than the complimentary breakfast menu and the location of the property,” said Anil Punjabi, chairman of the eastern region, Travel Agents Federation of India.

Reimagining travel for the new era

The pandemic has been a game-changer for the global travel and hospitality industry. It has caused consumer habits, expectations, and priorities to transform so profoundly that many of the preferences will have been irreversibly changed for years to come. What will be the ultimate shape of the tourism industry once the COVID-19 pandemic becomes history remains to be seen.

Still, this unprecedented crisis can serve as an opportunity to improve how the industry operates, especially through greater digitisation and environmental sustainability.

As countries start looking for a balance, gradually lifting travel restrictions, and travellers’ confidence slowly returns, the travel will gradually recover due to unleashed pent-up demand. However, bringing back travellers and restoring confidence in travel will require creativity and new approaches to tourism to reflect the changes that have happened over the past 18 months. Travel businesses need to try to understand these changes and adjust.

Lithium-ion Battery Assembly Consultancy

Lithium-ion battery is the core component of electric vehicles, grid trough periods of surplus electricity can be stored and used to drive an electric car, you can implement the strategy of low power instead of oil, reduce our demand for oil and improve urban air quality, battery store excess electricity during peak hours back to the grid can also achieve peaking. Once the grid has a strong ability to regulate the power of solar, wind, geothermal, ocean energy and other clean power generation means for generating intermittent easily into the grid, clean energy will gain large-scale applications, which solve mankind’s energy and environmental problems It will have a crucial role.

Characteristics of the lithium-ion battery industry is the quantity, but the large scale, high technology and equipment of small, has a strong capability of independent innovation and even less, companies need to strengthen the capability of independent innovation, and actively participate in cooperative development, it it is possible to achieve extraordinary development. Also in the following three aspects we must be prepared.

  1.  do a lot to reduce cost.
  2.  enhance their technical level and quality of products.
  3.  with international standards directly.

The main market is talking about electric bicycles in recent years actually existing lithium-ion batteries from the market point of view. Development of lithium-ion battery is still a long way to go now just entering the field of electric bicycles, used in electric cars, electric boats, aspects of energy storage devices.

storage battery. China’s lithium-ion battery business should actively accelerate the lithium-ion battery research and development speed, lower costs relentless efforts, while improving their technological level and product quality, for a start ahead of the world, with direct international standards, occupy enough market share. Lithium battery power will face a rapid development stage, it depends on the establishment of the current tight energy market, environmental requirements and new energy systems. Therefore, enterprises, should grasp the current opportunity to capture the market as soon as possible. Meanwhile, speaking from the government, industry standards, and policies on this basis for the battery industry cooperation is essential.

Since the lithium-ion battery business and industry rely on the development of a number, but is still in the early stage of development, so as a part of the whole industry chain, companies need to actively respond to the clear industry trends, accurate positioning, enhance management level, to stabilize the market and production as well as research and development team, technical reserves, has made a comparative advantage in the fierce competition in the industry.

Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries are rechargeable batteries with high-energy density and are majorly used in portable equipment. The market for these batteries is expected to witness significant growth owing to increase in use in smartphones, tablets/PCs, digital cameras, and power tools. Moreover, the demand for Li-ion batteries in the automobile industry is expected to increase in line with rise in demand for electric vehicles. These batteries have gained popularity among automobile manufacturers as they offer an alternative to nickel metal batteries used in electric vehicles, due to their small size and light weight.

Some of the most common applications of lithium-ion batteries are:

·         Power backups/UPS

·         Mobile, Laptops, and other commonly used consumer electronic goods

·         Electric mobility

·         Energy Storage Systems

As there are varied uses of a Lithium Ion Battery, it comes in different types of packaging. However, there are some general advantages of using a Li-ion battery over other traditional batteries.
